of life. We live, design, sew and sell our gear in Minnesota’s northern border wilderness.
We began in 1985 by designing gear for our first expedition to the North Pole. Since then,
we’ve explored just about every cold place on the planet, from Greenland to the Russian
Arctic—all with our own gear. Serious field-testing. MADE IN USA We take great pride in
being one of the largest private employers in a small remote town where jobs are scarce
but garment making talents and pride in workmanship are in abundance. We’re one of the
last full-line outdoor clothing makers in the U.S. Our country has become a throw away
society because we can get cheap goods from overseas. Wintergreen clothing is made to
last so if it means purchasing a garment made by an American worker at a higher price,
we feel this is a good thing. Buy less, keep it longer and throw away less!
Technical Advantage Gear – You will “never” have a frozen mush face again with “any” of
the neck gaiters that we have available in our product range!  All of our straight cut 2
layered neck gaiters are at least one inch taller for greater coverage range, some have a
built in top edge shock cord system for securing it anywhere on your face and all of our
neck gaiters are built with “thermal wind blocking, breathable, DWR water repellent outer
shell layers” for keeping your face warmer and drier.  We also have exclusively designed
“drop pad neck gaiters” that were developed for sealing more cold air out and for keeping
the upper chest core warmer – longer.  We provide you with better options for “breaking
away” from the use of one layered fleece neck gaiters and face trapping wet mush faced
balaclava’s, though the use of one of our hats and matching in with the correct neck gaiter
for your next adventure.   If you start thinking outside of the “status quo box”, then you’ll
start getting actual performance for your money, better results and great gear items that
are 100% built in Wisconsin – USA !

actually work, unlike some of the import brands and we build 100% of our gear and
accessories in Wisconsin – USA .Our gear is designed to “actually” keep you warmer and
drier when outside in the elements and we design it for American sized bodies.  Whether
you’re shoveling snow, walking the dog, snow skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling,
snowshoeing, mountain climbing, sled dog racing, working construction or going on a
major expedition to the North or South Pole, we have gear items that will work for you
and then some! We build in more “asset value” for your money on our Mitts, Hats,
Headbands, Neck Gaiters, Base Layers, Liner Socks and other gear, with items available
for men, women and juniors. Our playing range is from +32F to -100F below zero, so
we're sure to have gear items that will make you more comfortable when you’re outside in
the cold weather months doing what you need to do! All we ask is that you start with just
one of our gear items and surprise yourself.
Wolfsong Wear Since 1997 we have designed, tested and redesigned all of our outdoor
clothing so that each piece of outerwear is the warmest, most comfortable, best looking,
and as functional as can be. They are all locally handmade with the highest quality
materials. We use durable, warm Woolrich Wool on the outside and soft comfortable
Malden Mills 300 weight polar on the inside. Waxwear waxed canvas (like Shackleton) is
used for our Nor'easter shells.
Freeride Systems and the Prospect Pants Co. of Colorado started business in Leadville,
Colorado producing specific webbing gear for skiing and snowboarding.  Due to customer
demand for different products made in the USA, Freeride introduced high quality technical
jackets.  Now Freeride has expanded its lines to include casual jackets, pants, shorts, belts
and more.  All products are sewn in Colorado.
